Manufacturer’s Responsibility
The company manufactures equipment based on patented European technologies using components from well-known global brands.
The efficiency of the systems is proven by countless studies. We confidently take responsibility for the environmental safety of your site.
Environmental Safety
Thanks to biofiltration technology, Spec Stroy Engineering systems provide a high level of purification (up to 98%) even under periodic or seasonal use.

FEATURES OF THE OPERATION OF AUTONOMOUS SEWAGE SYSTEMS
The operation principle of SpecBudEngineering systems is based on patented European biofiltration technology. The essence of the technology lies in combining preliminary wastewater treatment in a septic tank with subsequent intensive purification in a biological reactor using a unique plastic filler — Air Ring® discs.
Phase 1
Wastewater enters a three-chamber septic tank, where thorough mechanical cleaning from solid particles, insoluble substances, and fats takes place.

Phase 2
A circulation pump lifts the pre-treated water into the bioreactor, where it is repeatedly sprayed over the plastic filler — Air Ring® discs.

Phase 3
A biofilm forms on the surface of the discs — a complex of microorganisms that decompose organic pollutants in the wastewater.
Phase 4
The purified water no longer poses any threat to the environment and can be discharged into a pre-prepared drainage system or channel.
SpecBudEngineering® systems are designed for biological treatment of wastewater from buildings and structures located outside the reach of central sewer systems. They clean wastewater from kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, washing machines, and dishwashers.
PLASTIC FILLER – Air Ring® DISCS
The plastic filler is a crucial element of biofiltration.
The efficiency of the filler determines how well bacteria living in wastewater can attach to its surface, fully develop, and decompose the main sources of pollution — organic substances.

The Air Ring® discs are the result of many years of engineering research by Scandinavian scientists and specialists.The goal of the research was to develop a new type of filler that eliminates the critical shortcomings of previous designs — clogging and sediment accumulation.

The unique Air Ring® discs are self-cleaning from deposits.
Due to their shape, bacteria colonies grow quickly, while the filler itself does not get clogged with organic sludge, ensuring continuous biological activity inside the system.

Currently, Air Ring® discs are used in more than 30 countries.
Over 40,000 biofilters have undergone extensive testing and are successfully used both in countries with hot climates and in harsh Arctic conditions.
The efficiency of the equipment is confirmed by numerous independent European studies.

First Stage
Wastewater is directed to preliminary mechanical treatment in the septic tank.
In the first chamber, under the influence of gravity, coarse and insoluble substances settle to the bottom.
The second chamber operates as a grease trap, retaining floating impurities and fats on the surface.
The third chamber is designed for clarification and settling of wastewater.
Second Stage
A circulation pump lifts the clarified water into the biological reactor, filled with the unique plastic filler — Air Ring® discs..
Third Stage
Under pressure, water passes through a stationary sprayer, becomes saturated with oxygen, and is evenly distributed over the discs.
Fourth Stage
Within 7–10 days, a biofilm forms on the surface of the discs — a community of microorganisms that, during their life cycle, decompose organic pollutants in the wastewater.
This biofilm develops naturally without adding bio-powders, using bacteria already contained in the sewage.
Fifth Stage
After completing its life cycle, the excess biofilm detaches from the discs, settles in the third chamber of the septic tank, and the purified water no longer poses any environmental threat.
It can be discharged into a pre-prepared drainage system or channel.
The process of biological purification is impossible without supplying oxygen to microorganisms.
In Spec Stroy Engineering biofilters, aeration occurs through natural ventilation — no compressor is used.
An alternative biofiltration technology is aerotanks — systems where treatment occurs using forced aeration.
Aerotanks require air compressors, which increase energy consumption and operational costs.
Failure of a compressor or lack of electricity for more than two hours leads to the death of bacteria, clogging of the drainage system, unpleasant odors, and the need for reconfiguration work.

First Step
The wastewater is directed to preliminary mechanical cleaning in a screen. In the first chamber, insoluble substances settle to the bottom under the action of gravity.
Second Step
The second chamber operates on the principle of a grease trap, which retains all floating contaminants and fats on the surface.
Third Step
The third chamber is designed for clarification and settling of the wastewater.
Fourth Step
The circulation pump lifts the clarified water into the biological reactor, which is filled with unique plastic media – "Air Ring"® discs.
Fifth Step
Water under pressure passes through a fixed sprayer, becomes saturated with oxygen, and evenly irrigates the discs.
The process of biological purification is impossible without saturating the microorganisms with oxygen. In the Spets Stroy Engineering biofilters, aeration occurs through natural ventilation without the use of a compressor.
An alternative to biofiltration technology is activated sludge tanks (aeration tanks) – systems in which purification occurs due to active sludge, where bacteria are contained in the water as flocs. A feature of aeration tanks is the necessity of constant air injection by a compressor.
A compressor breakdown, or the absence of electricity for more than two hours, leads to the complete death of bacteria, their silting up, and the stoppage of the purification process. The consequences include flooding of the drainage device, unpleasant odors, and the need for repeated commissioning work.
Sixth Step
Within 7-10 days, a biofilm grows on the surface of the discs – a complex of microorganisms that destroy organic pollutants in the wastewater during their life cycle. The biofilm is formed without the addition of biopowders, due to the bacteria that are contained in the wastewater from the very beginning.
Seventh Step
After completing its life cycle, excess biofilm is carried out of the bioreactor and settles in the septic tank's third chamber. The purified water no longer poses a threat to the environment and can be discharged into a pre-prepared drainage device or ditch.
ZS-6 Autonomous Sewage System for a Cottage
Filter well
Well neck with a hatch
Ventilation fungus (necessary for ventilation of the system and saturation of microorganisms with oxygen)
A filtration well is the optimal drainage device for year-round discharge of purified water.
Unlike filtration fields, which are used for the biological post-treatment of wastewater after a septic tank, filtration wells:
  • are designed for the discharge of water that has already been purified within the autonomous sewage system;
  • occupy a much smaller area on the plot (from 4m² for discharging 1,000 liters of water per day);
  • can be used in loamy soils and are virtually independent of the groundwater level;
  • can be maintained (gravel can be replaced if silted up) without the need for excavation work;
  • the service life of the well, with timely system maintenance, is more than 20 years.

What influences installation costs?
The cost of installation work is determined based on the design. The primary goal of the design is to develop documentation that will maximize the client's financial and time savings.
Affects the scope and complexity of excavation work. Depending on the soil's permeability (filtration coefficient), the method of removing treated water is determined: drainage or discharge onto the ground.
Soil type and groundwater level
The depth of the drain pipe from the building determines the extent of excavation work in trenches, the excavation pits for the system, and the drainage system. When gravity flow to the system is impossible, additional equipment such as a sewage pumping station is used. Depending on the depth of soil freezing, additional pipe insulation is required.
Sewer outlet mark
